Cool spot for lunch. First time visiting here was seated right away. Service was great. We ordered chirashi and yaliniku from lunch menu. It was pretty good. Standard Japanese food. Funny thing, seems all the sushi men are Latino.
KA Sushi is a wonderful place to get your sushi fix here in Houston. It has indoor & outdoor seating, which are both set up beautifully. We chose to sit inside at a booth. The sushi is delicious, the atmosphere is uplifting and the service is great. Definitely will be recommending & coming back for more!
Our server, Nicole was very attentive and awesome. She gave us great food and drink recommendations. When we got to the restaurant, there was plenty of parking however it is a small parking lot and of course there’s always construction around that area. We came for lunch when they opened. They have outdoor patio and the ambience was very casual-business casual. Everything was very fresh and delicious! My favorite was the Uni toast, the toast was soft yet slightly toasty and the uni was so buttery and Salmon Tiradito, very refreshing.
* entrance door is heavy, they aren’t closed, just pull a little harder*
One of my favorite spots for lunch in The Heights. Great lunch variety and pricing. Katsu curry is amazing with a generous portion. I hope it remains on the menu forever. My seven piece nigiri had the perfect fish to rice ratio. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls included with my lunch special left me leaving with a full belly.
I do wish the water carafes were available again to make it a little easier on servers. The glasses are so small and required frequent refills, which our server Jacob did a great job of.
Will continue to dine for lunch and happy hour. Thanks, Ka and Jacob.
Atmosphere can be loud, and you are very close to others when it is busy, but the food is amazing and high-quality.
Absolutely delicious! High quality everything and great prices! The hot rock wagyu was super fun and the wine we got is my new favorite. Our server was super attentive and personable. Great gluten free options as well.
My daughter was craving sushi so we decided to find something close to home. Went online to search and found this gem. Literally around the corner which was a major plus for us.
Last minute so we didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat the 4 of us right away. It was outside on the patio which is ok on a breezy day but it was a bit chilly and we were told there were patio heaters so we went ahead and sat outside. We had to grab our jackets from the car due to the fact that two of the heaters were not working. (We didn’t want to leave because the kids were starving and finding another place would have been a pain)
But I’m glad we stayed. We came in time for their happy hour and it was a pretty decent selection of items. I’m a sashimi fan so I can’t say that this is the best place for it but the food we order did not disappoint. My favorite were the oysters.
The staff was super attentive and our waitress was very helpful suggesting dishes since it was our first time here.
Overall we will be back. Good food good vibes.
Food: Excellent. Nothing has been disappointing at this place. And the happy hour menu is generous.
Service: A+ I think everyone except for the hostesses understand how to acknowledge and keep the customer happy. Very friendly and attentive.
Ambiance: A Small and not trying to be too flashy.
Cleanliness: A+ I almost got offended at how quickly the staff cleaned my area after I got up. Like, let me leave before you tell me how many cooties I have.
Parking: Easy and free.
Toilets: Clean and I've never had to wait too long to use one. They are unisex for those that might have a problem with that.
Pro Tip: Make a reservation (or know the hostess) if you're going on a Friday after work.
